Track-and-trace for the transport and logistics sector, visit us at TransproTranspro, an up-and-coming exhibition for the transport and logistics sector, is taking place for the second time on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 May 2024. Throughout these two days Waregem Expo will once again become a bustling hotspot for numerous entrepreneurs who are active in the transport and logistics chain. The organisers intend this event to become the sector's ultimate long-term meeting place. Visitors and exhibitors will not only be able to network at the numerous stands, but also at the centrally located bar which will be permanently open to provide them with food and drinks and an ideal place for an informal chat.

A few figures on the transport and logistics sector

More than 750,000 vans and approximately 70,000 Belgian lorries are on the road in Belgium each and every day, while at least 75,000 other foreign lorries use our road network as they travel on to further destinations. In addition to the 11 million containers which arrive in Belgium via Antwerpen every year, three quarters of the 700 million tons of goods that enter the country each year are transported by road. The transport and logistics sector therefore directly provides work for more than 100,000 people. However, many more people are indirectly involved in the sector. Flanders has the ambitious target of becoming "Europe’s logistical hub" . (source: Transpro)
